Why a proper invoice matters
No paper trail: without a written invoice, a dispute about whether you were paid, and for what, comes down to two memories.
Vague descriptions: "production" on a bank transfer does not tell anyone which beats or which sessions were covered, which matters when only some of them were.
No due date: an invoice without stated terms is treated as optional, and the timeline stretches until someone forces it.
